Dr. Patti FriesPatti Fries, OD

Dr Fries graduated from the University of Missouri St-Louis College of Optometry in May of 2002 with honors. She entered the US Air Force and practiced at Offutt AFB in Bellevue NE until Sept of 2005, after which she joined the University of Nebraska Medical Center where she continues to practice. She also serves as the eyecare specialist at the UNMC Diabetes Center and provides clinical services on site monthly. She joined Drs. Her areas of interest are in general eyecare, traumatic brain injury involving visual disfunction, diabetic eye disease, and clinical research. She has also volunteered her time and expertise to provide eyecare in Guyana and Thailand, and continues to look for ways to serve the eyecare needs of the community. She also continues to serve as a member of the Air National Guard in Missouri.

Although she grew up in Wisconsin, she and her husband, Jeff, have made Nebraska their home along with their two children. Although wearing many hats as optometrist, military officer, and wife/mother, she still finds some time to enjoy her favorite hobbies include gardening, travel, and golf.
